How it runs
Custom software gets the same discipline as everything else we build: nothing ships on a first pass. Every build is reviewed before it ships, and where the output is autonomous, it stays reversible — a draft, not a change already made.
Where the software runs
Default to cloud. For most operations, most of the time, that's the right call — elastic, managed, the cheapest way to start.
Deployment is a function of data sensitivity, not a default. On-premise is a legitimate mode when the data genuinely can't leave the building, and which mode fits comes out of the audit — never assumed going in. We're not a hardware company. We don't sell boxes; on-premise means software running on infrastructure you control, not a unit we ship.
Local models are the same principle applied to inference: when the data can't leave, the model runs where the data lives instead of sending it out.
